It’s September 22. Otherwise known as the first day of fall. So from here on out I will be posting all things fall. I’m talking pumpkin, spice, and everything nice. In this post I will share with you how amazing fall is ( if you don’t already know), some of my favorite autumn recipes, and recipes I am excited to try. As well as tons and tons of fall pictures!
“And all at once, summer collapsed into fall.”
-Oscar Wilde

If you couldn’t already tell, I love fall. I think it is the best season by far. I do love the freedom of summer but other then that, I kind of hate summer. Well, I don’t hate it, I just really, really don’t like it. Anyway, back to fall. I cannot tell you how long I have been looking forward to it being fall. I have been talking about leaves, pumpkin, and cozy outfits for a month now. Also, Halloween! We’ll come back to that though.

Question: What’s your favorite season?

Ok let’s talk about fall food. Yum. For the next few months, I will be sending loads of fall recipes your way. Here are the main flavors: Pumpkin, spice, apple, pecan, brown butter, and so much more. Autumnal flavors are so versatile because they all go together. And they go well with other things too! Pumpkin and chocolate can be mouth watering if done right. Maple and pecan is a match made in heaven, especially with a splash of vanilla. And there is truly nothing better then a warm apple crisp, with plenty of spices of course! I try and make new and different things on this blog, so you might see some stuff that looks a little different, but trust me, it is all delicious!

Now. Just because I make my own recipes, doesn’t mean I don’t love to make others recipes. Here are a few recipes I am dying to try this fall:
- Creamy Tortellini Vegetable Soup from Half Baked Harvest
- Apple and Cranberry Pie with Spiced Crust from Cloudy kitchen
- Apple Cinnamon Babka from Sally’s Baking Addiction
- Buttered Mushroom Stroganoff from Half Baked Harvest
- Pumpkin Scones from Sally’s Baking Addiction
- Spiced Pumpkin Maple Latte from Half Baked Harvest
- Swirled Cinnamon Sugar Croissant Loaf from Half Baked Harvest
- Maple Brown Sugar Cookies from Sally’s Baking Addiction
- Spiced Sugar Crullers from Cloudy Kitchen
- Black Widow Peanut Butter Bars from Half baked Harvest

Now, as promised, allow me to present the Halloween section! If you know me, then you know that I LOVE Halloween. Every day of October I wear a different Halloween outfit, our house is decked out in festive decorations, and we spend cool fall nights watching Tim Burton movies while eating freshly baked spooky treats. I love to get creative with different types of Halloween desserts. I look forward to sharing some festive and tasty recipes throughout my favorite month of the year.

You know how around Christmas, everyone has fun with their friends and family picking out a Christmas tree? Well in my family, we do the same thing, but with picking out the best pumpkins! We live out by a lot of farms, and we get our produce from one of them. There is nothing better then going down to a local farm to pick out a pumpkin on a crisp October afternoon. Nothing. Better. Another one of my favorite traditions is taking walks around our yard, and stepping on the crunchy fall leaves. There’s just something so satisfying about it. And don’t even get me started on the colorful leaves falling from the trees. When I come home from school, my favorite thing to do is sit outside with a cozy sweater and read a classic book while the leaves fall around me. With a cup of pumpkin spice tea by my side of course!

Well, that’s all I got. I know fall has technically only just began, but you can tell from this post I have been excited for months! I live in Virginia, so it doesn’t really look like fall yet, but its getting there! I hope you all are as excited for fall as I am, and if not I hope some of my recipes will pump you up. Happy Fall!
