Happy New Year everyone! It’s hard to believe that in just a few hours it will no longer be 2023. This year has flown by! But then again, they always do. I remember when I was younger, years used to feel so long. I used to think that summer break was a year long. It sounds silly thinking back on it, but 2 months felt like forever as a kindergartener.
A year ago, I published a New Years post for 2023. I said one of my resolutions was to post at least 3 recipes a month, andβI am proud to report that I have succeeded in that endeavor! There were a few months towards the end of the school year where I just barely got it done, but I managed and I’m so proud! This year, I intend to do that again but my official resolution is to spend less time on the internet.

Now, don’t get me wrong. I will certainly still be on the internet. I have to be so I can write these posts and make cozy baking videos! But I have noticed I spend a lot of time mindlessly scrolling through TikTok, so I intend to stop that. Also, I want to read at least 24 books this year (get it? Cuz its 2024?).
Additionally, I’m starting a habit where at the beginning and the end of every month, I write a little grid of all my favorites (favorite book, show, color, etc.) to see if it changes over the course of the year. Also a little snippet about how I feel, and a brief summary of the month. So at the end of the year I can read through my progress!
In last years post, I did a list of the 5 most popular recipes of 2022. So here’s this years list!
The Five Most Popular Recipes of 2023!
In spot number five, we have Almond Joy Baked Donuts! These were posted in January, and I ADORE the coconut chocolate glaze!

In fourth place, S’mores Thumbprint Cookies! This recipe was posted over the summer, and I just love the toasty and gooey marshmallow center!

Taking third spot we have, Hibiscus and Honey Lemonade! This simple and refreshing summer drink is like a cross between iced tea and lemonade!

Lemon Ricotta Pancakes takes the spot for runner up! These Sunday brunch pancakes come with homemade blueberry lavender compote!

And in first place we have (drumroll please) Rosemary Cookies with Caramelized White Chocolate! These unique sandwich cookies were super popular and intriguing to everyone who tried them.

What are your hopes and wishes for the new year? To be honest, I just really need some snow. We didn’t get any snow last year and I really need that to change this year. They’re predicting a few blizzards this year so fingers crossed! Maybe I’ll even get to miss school!!!
Happy New Year everyone!βI hope 2024 had wonderful things in store for you!
Oh one last thing! Here’s an overly dramatic TikTok for some of the things we made this year!
