It’s spring! I have to admit, I am a winter person. But I do love spring flavors. So in honor of spring I made this lemonade. I didn’t want it to be any old lemonade. I wanted it to be fancy. I really like the flavor of lemon and rose, but that was still to boring. So I added strawberry and bam! Pretty color, awesome taste, easy to make, what more could you ask for?
Tell me about this lemonade
Nothing beats a sip of this lemonade on a hot summers day. This drink has all the flavors you would expect, and then some. You can taste the real fresh strawberry flavor, tart lemon punch, and the floral note of the rose. There is also a hint of honey to mellow it all out. This lemonade is a little but thicker then you might expect. But once it chills for the while, it thins out. I like this best with ice, but that is completely optional. One more thing. Look at that color!

Sweeteners
To make this lemonade sweet, we use two things. First, we use honey. I think this adds a gentle new flavor as well as sweetening it. We also make a simple syrup. This might seem like a great length to go to for lemonade, but trust me, its worth it! All you have to do is heat some sugar and water until the sugar dissolves and then its done! We use this instead of just sugar to prevent the lemonade from becoming grainy.

Aspects of this lemonade
Flavors: As I said, this is a very natural tasting drink. We don’t use a strawberry syrup or anything like that. We use whole fresh strawberries and freshly squeezed lemon juice is suggested. As for the rose flavor, rose water gives a fresh flavor to this drink. We sweeten this with simple syrup and honey to give us two different flavors, but neither of them make this too sweet.
Texture: This is a thicker lemonade then you might think. In order to get fresh strawberry flavor we end up with a thicker texture. But once it is chilled and put over ice, it is perfect!
Difficulty: One of the great things about this lemonade is the speed and ease. It only takes about 10 minutes to whip up and all we have to do is throw all of the ingredients in a blender, mix it up and then you have a refreshing cup of lemonade!

Strawberry Rose Lemonade

Method
- Heat the sugar and water in a small sauce pan on medium heat until the sugar completely dissolves, about 2 minutes.
- Let cool as we prepare for the next step.
- Rinse, hull, and halve the strawberries.
- Place the strawberries, 2 cups of water, lemon juice, rose water honey, and slightly cooled ½ cup simple syrup(you should have extra) in a strong blender. Blend on high speed for 2 minutes. Pour the mixture into a pitcher. Add the remaining 4 cups of water and stir with a wooden spoon until combined.
- Store in the refrigerator, as the lemonade is best cold. I recommend enjoying over ice!
